Last week we decided to make origami rats to celebrate Lunar New Year (the year of the rat). Each child chose which colour paper they wanted to work with and a pom-pom for the nose. Then they followed the instructions our educator Monica gave them.
“This is so tricky. I don’t know if I can do it”
“That’s ok, I can show you again”
“Can you help me too, Monica?”
“I sure can!”
“Monica, did I do it right?”
“Good job, you did it!”
“How about mine?”
“You did it too, that’s impressive”
After we finished the folding, the children started decorating the rats’ faces and ears. Happy Lunar New Year to all our friends and families.
