Our Committee of Management
Central Park was established in 1982 by a group of parents whose values initiated a partnership with the City of Stonnington to provide a service that allowed for affordable, quality care of young children. For many years, Central Park operated as an occasional care centre. However, after listening to the needs of our local community and families who needed more permanent childcare, we became a long daycare centre in January 2016.
From our inception, a Committee of Management was formed by parents and continues to operate today. Working alongside the Centre Director and Lead Educator, the Commitee provides an integral role in the running of and decision making for the centre.
Each year a new Committee is appointed and regular updates from the monthly meetings are shared with parents via the quarterly newsletter. We welcome parents and carers of any families who attend the centre to join our Committee or attend Committee meetings.
